Tour of Hadrians Wall

Birdoswald to Lanercost
Following the Hadrian Cycleway ( Sustrans route 72) West out of Haltwhistle, this ride passes Birdoswald Roman Fort, the remains of the wall, turrets and Milecastle, along with an earlier Roman Signal station before Roman signal station before reaching Lanercost Priary. Lambley Viaduct
Follow a disused railway to Lambley Viaduct an impressive 30m high railway bridge crossing the river South Tyne. Return via the picturesque Featherstone Castle and bridge. Approximately 12 miles.
