Hadrian cycling Ltd is a small family run business based in Haltwhistle, in the west Tynedale area of Northumberland, near to the border with Cumbria and very close to Hadrians wall. We operate an Ebike rental and Ebike tour company with the aim of showcasing our beautiful and historic landscape while encouraging eco-friendly tourism. You can hire our bikes and explore the area on your own and should you wish we can make recommendations or even prepare a route for you to follow. Alternatively we can tailor a route to your requirements and take you around on a guided tour.

We are on the edge of Northumberland National Park, right next to the most dramatic and well preserved stretch of Hadrians Wall. We are very close to the major Roman archealogical sites of Vindolanda, Housesteads and Birdoswald along with other smaller sights. There are many castles, bastle houses and pele towers in the local area to see as well as the historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge. The Historic city of Carlisle in Cumbria is also within reach. There are the remains of a World War 2 prisoner of war camp nearby set in the grounds of the magnificent Featherstone castle. There are many pretty towns and villages to see set amongst the spectacular Northumbrian hills. The landscape ranges from upland hill farms to arable land, vast pine forest to beautiful woodland gorges and stunning crags and loughs (lakes).

Despite being in a very hilly area our bikes will turn a struggle into a smile. We use top quality Cube electric bikes which are very simple to operate. They are like any other geared bike but with the added bonus of four levels of assist to take the hard work out of the hills.
